What is Graphene?

The 2010 Nobel prized in physics went to Andre Geim and Konstantin Novoselov, who first isolated Graphene in 2004. Graphene is a one-atom-thick layer of carbon atoms arranged in a hexagonal lattice. It is the building-block of Graphite, but graphene is a remarkable substance on its own – with a multitude of astonishing properties which repeatedly earn it the title “wonder material”.

Graphene has unique combination of exceptional properties. It is not only the thinnest, but also one of the strongest materials. In the field of biomedicine, both in diagnostic and therapeutic areas. As a medicine carrier, graphene oxide is feature by high biocompatibility and excellent solubility. Because graphene is a perfect heat conductor, it is also used to destroy cancerous tumor. The phenomenon of thermal damage enables the use of the heat accumulated by it to reduce pain in tissues.

Graphene molecules widely used in bedding because they protect the function of human tissues.

Spring Home Textiles has released a new grapheme pillowcase, which can improve sleeping and treat diseases such as cervical spine. In the next blog, I will introduce you to this bedding.
