After opening its first store in Shanghai and Beijing in February 2014, New Look, announcing plans to expand 50 more stores in China by March 2017.

New Look, owned by South Afican billionaire Chirsto Wiese, has over 850 stores globaly, including over 500 stores in the UK. Although their first quater revenues decreased 4.2%, the retailer maintains confidence because there has been influences for consumers in China.

Like most foreign brand in China, New Look planing to have local-for-local manufacturing model for their Chinese market. This sourcing strategy, trying to replicate by Zara and Under Armour, ensure local-like products deliverd to store quickly.
