Consider this, if you sleep for 7 hours per night that would amount to 49 hours per week on average. That’s a lot of time spent in bed. Now think about the time and energy you spend ensuring your bed is well set and clean? Do you at all? Or do you simply make your bed every morning and retire into it when the night falls. Or do you simply brush it off thinking they aren’t that dirty yet?

What Happens If You Don’t Wash Your Sheets?

According to research, your typical bed sheets would contain traces of fungi, bacteria, animal dander, pollen, soil, lint and all sorts of excrements from the body including sweat, sputum, and excrement and skin cells. Now, let’s say, on an average, every adult washes their sheets every 2-3 weeks (realistically speaking its probably more like 5-6 weeks). However, dermatologists strongly suggest that bed sheets should be washed probably on the average of once a week and pillowcases once every 2-3 days!

Our bodies shed millions of skin cells each day, many of which rub off in our sleep and are deposited in our beds. In addition to skin cells, our bodies also secrete fluids, sweat and oils during a long night’s sleep which pose a problem because they are all deliciously appealing for dust mites. When inhaled, these allergens can provoke asthma and rhinitis and may also worsen eczema. Now, you must be thinking, “does this mean I now have to take more time out of my already packed schedule to do the sheets four times a month?” Then don’t worry. While it is understandable that our busy schedules keep us away from such tasks, there is a way to work around it – Copper Infused Bed Linen.

In the next blog we will learn more about how copper work in bed sheets.

Learn more: http://www.springtextile.com Or Spring Hometextile video channel: www.youtube.com/channel/UCMCz-yKQMYxA1e2Uscw5PHw Also can contact Tina at: sale3@springtextile.com

Do you actually take the time out to ensure your bed linen is regularly cleaned?
